As Posh Foody Lifestyles decided to seek out some cool spots throughout this beautiful country of ours, we happen to accidentally stumble upon the coolest, hippest and most fun places we have stayed at yet!

The Moxy Downtown Louisville is located on historic Whiskey Road in Downtown Louisville. As part of the Marriott Bonvoy this is one place that was done right.

​

It all starts with the Captain of the joint, and yes, they truly are THE captain as it states on the business card. But they did not interact as a captain with the rest of the staff. You could tell they were treated as one in charge, but it felt like that it was done more out of respect than the title.

​

When we first walked in the door, we knew that we was in for a real treat. The hostess was so cool and spoke as if she was an old friend hanging out at a family BBQ. 

​

After checking in, we were presented with these cool wooden tokens. They were for a complimentary drink that was a creation of the hotel. Yes, they have a full bar and dining area as the check-in counter..... How freakin' cool is that!!

​

We were in awe at the lobby and how hip, but yet so sophisticated this place is. Right next to the check-in counter/bar is ZOMBIE TACO'S. Not only do they have a walk up window, but they also have the most bad-ass taco cart for the streets.  Amazing food!!!!!

When we tell you that this was the coolest and hippest place, we mean it; and we haven't even gotten past the lobby! Right past the lobby is a 360 degree floor to ceiling fireplace surrounded by a comfy couch for when you just feel like chilling with a book or to just get a lil warmth under your collar.

 

Right past that is a game parlor. Foosball, darts and all the classic board games with tables to play. Then we went past the workout room. This workout room made us want to workout. From retro bikes on rollers to a hanging punching bag to get any unwanted stress out on.

After taking all of that in, which we may be leaving something out, we hit the elevators to take us to the 8th floor. The elevators were also, yep you guessed it, COOL!!!!

​

We got to our rooms and they were unlike any rooms we stayed in. Clean, sophisticated and plenty of space. Didn't want to leave the room but yet we wanted to venture out to see what Downtown Louisville has to offer. And we are so glad we did since there is a ton to do.

​

Of course this could be the best place on the planet; but without the rest of the staff, it would be just a non-memorable building that you would forget about right after check out!!

​

After all of that you have the surrounding area with so much to do and all within walking distance. They also have these cool scooters that can be rented and when you're finished you just leave them on the sidewalk anywhere. Also, you can walk right over the bridge that's within walking distance from the Moxy and be in Downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.

If ever in Louisville or if you want to get away for a couple days and don't know where to go; just go straight to the Moxy Downtown Louisville and the rest will fall into place making your decision to go there one of the best!
