Posh Foody Lifestyles needs to first thank Victoria Alkoc and her entire crew. We visited her truck in Newark, DE @ the Christiana Mall for tis particular review!

 

Victoria is a franchise owner of Cousins Maine Lobster and has recently opened, along having several trucks, her first store front in Asbury Park, NJ.

Posh Foody Lifestyles founder, Anthony is an avid fan of Shark Tank. He vividly remembers an episode where a couple guys wanted to sell fresh lobster from a food truck.

​

In 2012, cousins Jimmy & Sabin launched the very first Cousins Maine Lobster food truck. It was an instant hit! But they needed help in order to expand. Finally, 2016 took them on a show called "Shark Tank."

​

After fierce negotiations, Barbra Corcoran decided to take a chance with the cousins concept. We, along with millions of others are beyond happy that she did!

​

Now with over 20 truck in 13 cities, Cousins Maine Lobster are proving to be the real deal when it comes to serving fresh lobster!

 

Joining Anthony for this visit was Posh Foody Lifestyles special guest, Dan! - A.K.A. "DAD"... Yes, Anthony's father is back at it giving his input of Cousins Maine Lobster.

As we thouroughly research each place before we visit, we still have no idea what to really expect. This was no different. When we arrived those inside the truck were very patient and knowledgeable as we were taking in everything.

​

We tried every item on the menu and it is official that Barbara made the right call to invest since each item was on point.

​

With that said, Anthony and his father preferred the Connecticut Roll since it was winter. The warmth of the lobster brought our bodies warmth with each bite!  The chilled lobster's flavor on the Maine roll was just as sweet and flavorful.

 

Both lobster rolls offer the same freshness as they seduce your pallets in their own unique way!

Next there was the Lobster tots! Who would have thought that tater tots would compliment lobster, but they did. The lobster was warm and the pico de gallo, along with the cilantro lime sauce, made each bite leaving you to want to take another immediately!

​

Lobster grilled cheese also made being outside on a chilly night well worth it. The Texas toast was browned perfectly and the cheese was melted around all that lobster. The lobster was not overpowered by the cheese but it gave the sandwich an enhanced flavor!

​

Now we cannot forget the Lobster Bisque!! This hit the spot in so many ways and had massive chunks of lobster throughout! Anthony had taken his grilled cheese and started to "dunk" it in the bisque... it is a must!!!

Not being a big soda person, Anthony had tried the Maine Root Soda. He described it as refreshing without an artificial taste. Went well with all the courses!

 

We are happy to give this food truck experience a 5 out of 5 stars. This is purely on what is being sold compared to what we would expect. What is being sold is the freshness of the lobster at various locations. That is exactly what we received. Fresh, sweet lobster as if it was just taken off the boat. Deserves nothing less than a 5 star rating!

That doesn't mean it will be the best for you, but you will have a better insight on what to expect! There have been many places we have visited and did not post a review since it was not up to the expectations of what we feel you deserve!

 

Cousins Maine Lobster also has a patented process on how they are able to ship the lobster around the country without putting any of the lobster at risk of losing its purity! It is the real deal and we are excited to visit Victoria's new location in Asbury Park, NJ!
